stools

At MAKE nordic, we have stools in a timeless and classic design, designed by a number of renowned designers. The designers behind the various stools in our collection are Danish Tom Stepp, Piet Hein and Poul M. Volther and the Norwegian designer Jennifer Cena.

MAKE a difference

"We strive to create furniture of high design quality, with great consideration for the environment, and with the smallest possible footprint on our shared earth. Because if there is something that follows us for a long time in this life, it is our furniture. When we produce the furniture in good quality, and take good care of them, they can last for many years and perhaps be passed down for generations. That way, we can perhaps make a small difference and minimize the buy-and-throw-away mentality."

- Line Olesen, Founder

Jennifer Cena

Jennifer Cena is a designer from Norway, born and raised in the Norwegian mountains. This has given her a very special relationship with nature, which she reflects time and time again in her designs with the help of expression and choice of materials. She was born in 1979 and has a strong background from the School of Art and Design in Bergen. There is no doubt that she has a distinct sense of aesthetics and a fondness for natural materials and organic forms that you rarely see in others. Even before she finished her education, she had a whole series of her beautiful furniture in production, which helps to underline her ability to be present, innovative and current in her designs. She is the designer behind the UMI series, which had its prototypes developed in connection with the Bergen Art and Design School's exhibition in the Green House during the Stockholm Furniture Light Fair in 2016. Since then, the series has grown, and the result is now a daybed, coffee table, stools and benches in both oak and wild ash.
