Terms of Warranty

10-year warranty on furniture from MAKE nordic

At MAKE nordic, we create furniture with care – crafted from natural materials and made by skilled professionals to last for many years. That’s why we offer a 10-year warranty on all our furniture, giving you extra peace of mind.

The warranty does not cover accessory products, but applies exclusively to our furniture collection of sofas, tables, chairs, benches, stools, daybeds, and shelves, and only for private use.

The warranty is an additional reassurance we offer on top of the statutory right of complaint, which always applies under the Sale of Goods Act.

2-year warranty on accessory products from MAKE nordic

We offer a 2-year warranty on all accessory products in MAKE nordic’s collection, as well as on individual spare parts. The warranty covers, among other things, trays, shelves, mirrors, cushions and pads, lamps, extension panels, reliefs, care products, and other loose spare parts.

Duration and Validity

The warranty is valid from the day you receive your furniture from MAKE nordic. To make use of the warranty, you must be able to provide proof of purchase. If you notice a defect or fault, it must be reported to MAKE nordic within a reasonable time after you have discovered the issue.

What is covered?

The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects on all furniture in our collection. This means it covers faults that were present at the time of purchase or that later turn out to have originated from conditions already existing at the time of purchase. In the unlikely event of a production defect, we ensure that it is repaired or that the furniture is replaced within the warranty period.

What is not covered?

  • Natural wear and tear, scratches, marks, or damage caused by improper use, accidents, or external influences.
  • Natural settling of upholstery materials (such as filling, foam, and springs).
  • Surfaces such as textiles, leather, canvas, and woven materials are affected by use and will, over time, change in appearance, wear, develop patina, and experience color changes. Therefore, these parts are not covered by the warranty, but we are, of course, happy to provide care instructions if needed.
  • Lack of or improper maintenance and care, as well as stains or discoloration from clothing, objects, food, or liquids.
  • Furniture that has been stored, used, or assembled incorrectly, altered, or exposed to conditions it is not suited for – e.g., outdoor use, moisture, extreme temperature changes, or strong sunlight.
  • If a product is replaced under the warranty, the new product is not covered by a new warranty but is subject to the standard statutory rights of complaint according to the Sale of Goods Act.

How we help you

When you report a defect, MAKE nordic assesses whether it is covered by the warranty. If it is, we decide whether the damage can be repaired or if the furniture should be replaced. MAKE nordic covers the costs of repairing or replacing the affected part, as well as any shipping to the address where the furniture was originally delivered. If the furniture is no longer part of our assortment, we will provide an equivalent product as a replacement. Repairs are carried out by MAKE nordic or one of our partners. Once the defect has been resolved, the case is closed, and no further compensation will be provided.

It is always MAKE nordic that, based on an overall assessment, decides which solution is possible in a given case. In many instances, this is done in close collaboration with our suppliers. If you have any questions about the warranty, you are welcome to contact us at info@makenordic.com.

MAKE nordic also reserves the right to reject a warranty claim if it does not meet the above conditions.

The warranty applies to purchases made from September 4, 2025.
