The HOLMEN dining table is designed to last a lifetime!
You get a dining table that is handmade in Denmark from solid oak from FSC®-certified forests (FSC® N002763). The dining table has continuous, solid oak staves with fine markings of the wood's grain. Each table is unique as it is handmade from natural materials. The design is simple and timeless, which is why the HOLMEN table fits perfectly into your Nordic home, where both quality and design play a decisive role.

The HOLMEN table can be used as a dining table, as a desk in the home office or in a
Corporation. It is also used in restaurants and cafes, which have the tables manufactured to special measurements.

Because the table is so simple in design, it fits into most homes and lasts across the trends of the time. All chairs can be attached to the HOLMEN table, so you can decide for yourself which expression you want to create.

When you receive the table, you must assemble the legs yourself. All you need to assemble the table is a non-scratch surface and a spanner or spanner.

What size?

When choosing your new dining table, you must decide on 5 important things:

• Round or rectangular. Which shape suits your home best?
• The size of the table frame. How much space do you need between the table legs?
• Tabletop size. How much space do you need around the table - and what do you have space for at home?

• Treatment. Should the table be oil-treated with clear or white oil?
• Additional plates. How many additional plates do you need when the whole family gets together?
  

Please note that you can choose between 4 different frame sizes; small round table, large round table, small rectangular table and large rectangular table.

Rectangular table

Whether you should choose a small rectangular table or a large rectangular table depends on what size you want the frame to be. With the small frame there is room for 2 chairs between the table legs on the long side, while with the large frame there is room for 3 chairs.

Round table

If you choose a round table, you must decide on the diameter of the table. The diameter (also called Ø) determines how many people can sit around the table.

Oil treatment and color

The HOLMEN table is oiled in clear oil, which gives the table a warm and golden look, or in white oil, which gives the table a bright look. You can always change this choice at a later time, regardless of whether you change your mind in 2 months, 2 years or 10 years. You can always sand the table down and give it a new treatment with just the color you want.

Additional plates

Finally, you must decide how many additional plates you need. In everyday life you will usually not need any, but for Christmas, birthdays or other festive occasions when the whole family gathers, the matter will be different. We always recommend buying 2 additional plates, as our experience is that the customers who choose this are the happiest with their choice. 1 additional plate provides 2 extra seats.

You can choose additional plates for all HOLMEN tables, regardless of whether it is round or rectangular. We always recommend that you choose two additional plates so that you can gather more friends and more family around the table on those very special occasions. In this way, you also avoid color differences on an additional plate, which may will be purchased later.

The additional plates add 50 cm per plate for the round tables and 45 cm per plate for the rectangular tables. As wood is a natural material that is affected by temperature and humidity, we recommend that the additional boards are stored at the same temperature and humidity as the table itself.

A dining table made of sustainable materials

When you choose a HOLMEN dining table, you get a handmade table made of sustainable materials. The oak comes from FSC®-certified forests (FSC® N002763), which means that the wood is felled with respect for both nature, people and animals.

Maintenance

The solid oak table HOLMEN is oil-treated when you receive it. We recommend that you oil your new dining table when you receive it or within the first few months. The frequency of the oil treatment depends on the use of the table. If it is used a lot, it must be treated more often. If a very smooth and water-repellent surface is desired, the dining table must be treated with oil several times during the first month. If a more natural surface is desired, the table should not be treated more than a few times a year.
